Abstract
This contribution deals with the problems of subjective assessments of (interactive) application systems. It presents considerations regarding the problem of split attentiveness common in audiovisual subjective assessments. A specialized device for the input of test subjects´ ratings which is based on the haptic channel is introduced and its design principles are discussed in detail. A short evaluation of the benefits as well as an outline of a typical assessment session with the device are given.
