Abstract
The full transmission or tunneling between two waveguides connected in a 180° bend formation can be obtained by simply loading it with wires of appropriate length. The tunneling is characterized by intense electric field distributions and highly-selective frequency response which can be utilized in various microwave applications. Two potential applications namely a dual-channel waveguide filter and a dielectric sensor are simulated using full-wave electromagnetic solver.
