Abstract
The need for efficient and low expensive automotive wheelchairs has become essential for helping people with many types of disabilities. The aim of this paper is to present a complete study, including hardware and software implementation, of an automotive wheelchair that use a position joystick for easy motion control. It has been found that while importing such. types of automotive wheelchairs may cost about $20000 per unit, it can be manufactured locally with a cost less than 2000 LE.
