Abstract :
It is noted that by redesign of the process of changing over a high-speed diaper machine the changeovers can be performed in less time with fewer mistakes. Maintaining consistent machine settings across production runs ensures better consistency of product and less time required during the initial startup and test phase of the changeover. With a standard methodology used for changeover improvement, individual components of the machine were made easier to change with mistake-proof settings. These features resulted in less downtime and scrap, simplified operator training, fewer malfunctions, and more consistent product
