Abstract :
By using a first-order kinetic equation, the model of non-point source pollutants degradation was established for ponds wetland of rice irrigation district, and the model was applied to forecast the water quality at the outlet of pond wetland in Zhanghe irrigation district, Hubei Province. The result shows that the simulated concentration of TN, NH4+-N, NO3 - N and TP at the outlet of pond wetland with the first-order kinetic model matches well with the measured data, and the simulated result is of high reliability. The model can be used to forecast the effect of mitigation of non-point pollution by pond wetland, providing theoretical basis for wetland design and water environment management in rice irrigation district.
