Abstract :
We present a comparison of adaptive electronic PMD equalizers for coherent phase- and polarization-diversity QPSK receivers using the multicanonical Monte Carlo method. A 5-tap equalizer using the CMA sufficiently reduces the outage probability below 10-5.
