Abstract
An efficient architecture for wireless sensor network employing 60-GHz millimeter-wave (mm-wave) wireless access technologies is proposed for systems that require very high throughput data for both transport and signal processing functions. The evolutional strategy for hierarchical system architecture and I/O signal forms of system interfaces are investigated for practical applications. The results of the proof-of-concept experimental demonstration of such very high throughput optical wireless sensor system using 60-GHz mm-wave carrying digital baseband data with different modulation formats are also presented.
