  • Abstract
    This paper describes an effective distributed collaborative design frame based on UG software for the 3D-CAD design. It develops quadratic exploitation based on Unigraphics software through UG/Open API and TCP/IP protocol, which realizes communication with distributed computers by Winsock programming. Each operation has its own corresponding instruction, which we named it operation map. When someone in cooperative net have forwardly modified the model, the corresponding instruction be transmitted to the other computers, so the model in any other computers can be automatically modified , which makes the real-time distributed collaborative design into reality.
