Abstract
This paper investigates the feasibility of Tomlinson-Harashima precoding when transmitting over multiple-antenna radio interfaces. In particular, we focus on the robustness of adaptive methods with respect to channel estimation errors. Two approaches are investigated to obtain predictions of the channel impulse response required to select the precoding parameters: Kalman filtering and particle filtering. Kalman filtering exhibits good performance but requires knowledge of the transmitted symbols in advanced. The particle filtering method considered in this work, on the other hand, is a blind technique that provides higher spectral efficiencies with a small loss in performance
