Abstract
Based on the investigation of the quality estimation of higher order MoM solution of SIEs via the residuum of the matrix equation, the paper proposes an automated procedure for determination of a minimum set of basis functions, which is appropriate for patches of arbitrary sizes and shapes. The results presented for cube and fighter scatterer show that number of unknowns can be significantly reduced when compared to a choice based on electrical size of patches.
