Abstract
Developing an open retail business architecture (ORBA) aims to achieve a seamless integration of front-end interfacing with mobile customers and the necessary tools to support the open retail framework. This paper continues the work which investigated the development of a robust ubiquitous retail environment application. The ubiquitous retail store system (URSS) looks to enable mobile customers within a localized area to receive services or make a request for a service using WAP. The development environment was NetBeans mobility 5.5 (J2ME).
