Abstract :
This paper proposes an ebXML-based service composition platform (SCP) for pervasive e-commerce. SCP integrates six standardized components, which implement fundamental and generic services abstracted from e-commerce process in real life. The design aims at reducing the repetition of development and investment, accelerating service creation, enhancing value-added capabilities. This paper describes the framework and core components of SCP. Example scenarios are presented to demonstrate how the six components are used in key steps of a general e-commerce process. Finally, a business process is explained with its ebXML business process (ebBP) specification including detailed commercial transaction for credit check.
