Abstract
This paper gives an overview of currently available capabilities in the rapid prototyping industry. Modern applications of rapid-prototyping are discussed. Capabilities and limitations of the most popular rapid-prototyping machines are presented. Criteria for choosing a process are presented, then specifications of popular machines are given in a table, including estimated costs. The information presented will assist a potential user of these technologies in choosing the best process and machine for their application
