Abstract :
A miniaturized printed rhombus slot antenna with a protruded ground plane has been demonstrated. The proposed antenna has its dimensions of 37.4 mm x 54 mm which is suitable for the WiMAX operations. Experimental results show that the impedance bandwidth of a printed slot antenna can be significantly improved by the use of an offset microstrip feed line. And the antenna size can be reduced about 47% by a use of protruded ground plane.
