Abstract :
This paper is organized as follows: In the next Section, we briefly introduce the framework of the vector generalized finite element (VGFEM) developed on the polyhedral elements, and also present the vector spaces for continuous and discontinuous field representations. Then, we formulate the bilinear form of the VGFEM for anisotropic medium. In Results Section, we validate the formulation by doing a cavity mode analysis and then analyze the performance of the VGFEM with perfectly matched layers (PML) by truncating a rectangular waveguide by PML. Finally, we conclude our work with future research directions.
