Novel conjugated block copolymers

Summary form only given. We have discovered a new, novel, two-phase synthetic methodology for preparing some novel conjugated block copolymers. This methodology provides us the great synthetic tools for fine-tuning the compositions of each block. Conjugated bis-block, ter-block and multi-block copolymers have been synthesized from this methodology. The same synthetic methodology can also be used to prepare a variety of novel conjugated alternative copolymers. This new synthetic chemistry will be discussed. The conductivity and spectroscopic characteristics of these novel block copolymers and alternative copolymers will be presented.
