  • Abstract
A joint program between Purdue University at Fort Wayne, Indiana Microelectronics Center and Central Noble High School to develop and implement a program to motivate high school students to study technology is discussed. The intention of the project is to develop a kit or system that could be shipped to a high school for use by the science or technology teacher to supplement other teaching materials. This kit should include hardware from demonstrations and experiments, as well as predeveloped lesson plans, along with a videotape demonstrating the use of the hardware. The initial system is designed for a number of experiments involving waveforms. The system allows up to eight analog inputs, two of which can be microphone inputs. The other six inputs are zero-to-five-volt analog inputs. The system then displays the waveforms on a standard television monitor. The teacher can display the frequency spectrum, sum of two waveforms, or generate waveforms algebraically
