Abstract :
Summary form only given. Recently it has been shown that processibility of polyaniline (PANI) can be increased by using, functionalized, counter ions. Specifically it has been observed that application of extra dodecyl benzene sufphonic acid (DBSA) yields plasticized and protonated melt processible complex. Here the reaction between PANI and DBSA has been investigated by calorimetry (DSC) and dielectric thermal analysis (DETA). A phase diagram has been compiled for the PANI(DBSA)-complex formation.
