Abstract :
Summary form only given. Polyaniline (Pan) is known to exhibit an electrochemical memory effect (shift and rise of the E/sup I/sub pa/ anodic peak magnitude at the first cycle of cyclic voltammograme(CVA)) which realized upon holding a PAn electrode in the reduction regime (E= -0.2 V vs Ag/AgCl) for a given time. However, when the process is cathodic an era sure of the memory effect occures, with the redox conversion peaks, symptomatic of a standard PAn electrode, being in evidence in all continuose CVAs. We have found out that when synthesizing PAn under cyclic potential scan conditions (-0.2\n\n\t\t
