Abstract :
In this paper, we give an overview of the design and implementation of an Autonomic Networked System. We discuss the main design issues involved and the software infrastructure that we have developed in the ANS project. We describe the prototype hardware we built and discuss optimisations in the network protocol to suit autonomic applications.
