Abstract :
Military radiated emission measurements in the 1 MHz to 3 0MHz frequency range have been performed inside screened enclosures to minimise the ambient signals which may interfere with the measurement. The disadvantage is that the presence of the conducting screened enclosure walls has a substantial effect on the fields in the vicinity of the equipment under test (EUT). The authors demonstrate that it is possible to enhance the current radiated emission measurement techniques such that measurements taken at any test house can be used to estimate the measurements that would be obtained on an open area test site (OATS). The direct comparison of measurements from a number of test houses having different sized screened rooms is thus feasible
