Abstract :
A novel approach for frequency-domain worst-case analysis is proposed in this paper. It is based on the fact that if a circuit response is monotonic with respect to the changes in a circuit parameter value, then the extreme values of the response occur at the extreme values of that parameter. The monotonicity is identified by the sensitivity band computation over the parameter space, and is used to reduce the number of uncertain parameters in circuit simulation. These ideas are implemented in a prototype circuit simulator, the experimental results on a state variable filter are described
