Abstract
Multitaper method (MTM) is a robust non-parameter method suitable for spectrum sensing in cognitive radio networks. Based on the Gaussian assumption on the distribution of the primary signals, a novel sensing method to detect in a single spectrum band using MTM by exploring a generalized likelihood ratio (GLR) test has been proposed in this letter. Numerical results are provided to compare the performance of the proposed method with that of the existing spectrum sensing using MTM.
