Abstract
Summary form only given. Polyacetylene (PA) chains have been synthesized with appropriate substituent side groups in order to graft the PA sequence on a silica surface. A description of the synthetic route used together with the preparation of the silica surface is given. The preliminary results show the formation of aggregats grafted on the surface. The origin of the island formation is discussed in term of parasitic reaction.
