Abstract
This paper proposes a new topology of soft-switched two-switch forward converter associated with a quadratic boost converter, which provides large voltage step-up. A nondissipative snubber is added to the forward topology for suppressing stresses on the semiconductor switches. The combination of the stages results in a switched-mode power supply (SMPS) for DC voltage applications.
