Abstract :
Summary form only given. Polyaniline (PANI) doped with dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBSA) is a new conducting polymer which combines high electrical conductivity with processability. The doping reaction of a PANIVDBSA mixture (complex) has been found to be a time-dependent process which can be accelerated by heating. This process has been studied by measuring the conductivity during heat treatment. The temperature for the onset of conductivity depends on the mixture ratio. Conductivities on the order of 1 S/cm were achieved.
