Abstract :
Deals with a printed compact design of a dual frequency antenna with a frequency span of 50%, between Rx and Tx bands, like those needed in the LOCSTAR/GEOSTAR system. The lower frequency is radiated by a ring and the higher one by an annular slot comprised between the above mentioned ring and a central circular patch. An alternative design uses another ring instead of the central patch. The design criteria and their limits of application are presented, and also the results of a first experimental approach
