Abstract
This paper proposes circular slot antenna with stepped ground operates only over the range of 2-6 GHz instead of complete UWB range i.e., 3.1-10.6 GHz. The discontinuities between the elements and the system ground planes are introduced to enhance the mutual isolations. In this paper, a four-element compact diversity antenna is presented that operates over the frequency range of 3.1-10.6 GHz. Further, it is very compact i.e., 80 x 80 mm2, fabricated on FR4 substrate.
