Abstract :
The theoretic explanation of the results of experimental studies in which there was demonstrated the recovery effect of millimeter electromagnetic waves on cells influenced by gamma-irradiation. It was shown that diffusion transport of substances, the export of the toxic products of lipid peroxidation from cell and import of antioxidants in the opposite direction, is realized in a cell. The air bubbles in the water layer near a cell membrane react to microwave irradiation and make near-membrane water layer less dense. This lowers the rate of degradation of the membrane caused by ionizing radiation.
