Abstract :
This paper reports an extension of the Transmission Line Matrix (TLM) technique to modelling of wideband amplifiers. A fully-transient numerical model of a high-speed MESFET distributed amplifier structure is investigated as an initial application of the extended TLM method. Initially the model is validated against analytical results, following which we report on investigations into varying model parameters and their effects on the amplifier´s behaviour
