Abstract
Multiple signal representation (MSR) is a class of distortionless method for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. However, MSR requires extra side information (SI) for informing the receiver the index of the transmitted signal. As results, the transmission efficiency is influenced. In this letter, a revised SI structure is designed for improving the transmission efficiency of MSR. And it will not introduce computational complexity or performance degradation. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the revised new structure can achieve a considerable reduction of the required SI, which is defined by a proportion factor Q, in MSR-OFDM system.
