Abstract :
This paper presents a new type of circularly polarized dielectric-lens antenna designed by using a holographic principle. The antenna is very simple to be designed and presents the same technological complexity that normal dielectric lenses. It exhibits a clear advantage w.r.t. conventional dielectric antenna solution for its flatness. Our process starts from the identification of a canonical local structure that fits locally the actual curvilinear lens profile and arrives to the nominal design through the parameters of the local structure. This initial design serves as initial step for an optimization process.
