Abstract
This paper proposes using thin magnetic layers to make a stop band filter. The device exploits the strong absorption rate that exists at the magnetic material´s ferromagnetic resonance frequency. Therefore, we demonstrate that it is possible to make filtering devices with magnetic layers, coupled with coplanar lines (CPW). Then, a UWB monopole antenna with a band notch is studied.
