Abstract
An adaptive line equalizer LSI which realizes 320kbit/s burst-mode transmission is described. The automatic gain control (AGC) circuit comprised of switched capacitor filters (SCFs) can adaptively equalize cable loss characteristics up to 53dB insertion loss at Nyquist frequency (160kHz). A chip area 40mm2 and power consumption 80mW are achieved in 3¿mCMOS technology.
