Abstract :
It is worthy of mention that the use of fuzzy logic within car-following models as the latest distinct stage in their development. But, the research of membership degree functions of the car-following models based on fuzzy logic is dissatisfactory. So, this paper employs least squares to fit discrete data, and their membership functions are obtained. Finally, the approach is illustrated by a case study. The results show this approach is satisfactory and wide applicability.
