Abstract :
The paper deals with the analyses in respect of the confinements in cylindrical three-layer liquid crystal optical fiber with the outermost layer being comprised of radially anisotropic liquid crystal, and the dielectric core-inner clad boundary being loaded with conducting sheath helix structure with a particular value of pitch. Treatments are made considering low-order hybrid modes in fiber, and the effects on the confinement patterns are analyzed under varying pitch angle of the introduced helix configuration. It has been noticed that such a twisted clad model possesses dominating disposition over propagating power along the tubing structure. As such, twisted clad model and its influence on the propagating power due to the angle of twists as well as layer radii remain the matters of debate of this paper.
