Abstract :
We propose an XML-based modelling language called RT-XML, which is capable of expressing distributed real-time multimedia systems. The real-time statements of RT-XML are added to a subclass of XML. RT-XML includes time ordering and time constraint, probabilistic behaviour and qualitative description of multimedia streams. In this paper, we propose a distributed real-time multimedia architecture, which allows procuring, selling, buying and delivering the distributed real-time multimedia services in E-commerce applications. Finally, we describe a way to implement this distributed real-time multimedia system, which includes resource management and real-time capabilities
