Abstract :
The semi-quantitative simulations were outlined at the beginning of the paper which presented an improved numerical interval simulation algorithm introducing probability density function to interval semi-quantitative simulation. The uncertain parameters were represented by probability density functions (pdf) in the novel algorithm instead of intervals. The pdf of uncertain parameter can be determined by its lower and upper bound of interval. The new interval is formed by the lower and upper bound of a set of stochastic values which can be generated by its pdf with certain belief level. And then, the new interval was used in interval semi-quantitative simulation. The paper provides both analytical and experimental evidence that support the novel algorithm.
