Abstract :
Backbone optical packet switching networks are emerging technology for the future. We investigate the functioning of the access node to the synchronous optical packet switching network. Studied packet filling algorithm of optical packet is based on assembly mechanism. We evaluate performance of access node on network model by simulation and we are focusing on delay, PLR (packet loss ratio) and jitter introduced in such a node.
