Digital TV outside broadcast vehicle

Croatian Radiotelevision, HRT made a request for purchase for two identical digital TV outside broadcast vehicles. As best overall bidder HRT chooses the offer from SONY UK, their subcontractor SPECTRA and Croatian dealer AVC-Zagreb. After a long cooperative study between HRT and SONY engineers, the final system design and equipment specification was developed. SONY and SPECTRA will build and deliver two OB vans under HRT project. The OB van will be equipped 8 digital TV cameras, 2 digital VTRs, slow motion/disk recorder, digital video switcher, character generator, digital "on-air" audio console, intercom, etc. This OB van will be a step forward in digital technology for HRT. It will allow shooting and broadcasting of TV programs on the very highest technical level, which is a great improvement over previous systems.
