Abstract :
Agile software development methodologies present an enticing alternative to the heavyweight plan-driven methods that are traditionally employed. This paper describes how the authors used a home-ground chart (B. Boehm and R. Turner, 2005) to determine which approach to apply in the development of international market (IM), an online tool to administer shopping simulations for marketing studies. In addition, the paper gives a brief overview of extreme programming (XP), the agile methodology selected by the authors, and discusses the authors´ adherence to the 13 practices of XP as outlined by Ron Jeffries (2001). This discussion should prove beneficial to those developers considering the adoption of agile practices
