Abstract
In this paper, a novel approach for design of a reconfigurable sectoral antenna based on an active cylindrical FSS structure for base-station applications has been proposed. An ECCD array has been used as an omnidirectional source in the proposed antenna. The solution for increasing the bandwidth of the ECCD array has also been proposed. The proposed antenna has been fabricated, and measurement results show a good agreement with simulation ones.
