Abstract :
In this paper we present a calibration concept and element failure correction of an intra-flight antenna operating at about 20 GHz. The intra-flight antenna is currently being developed by Thales Communications within the scope of the project MINERVAA that is supported by the European Union. The antenna should be used to carry safety data, pilot and companies data as well as entertainment data with a rate of 2.5 Mbit/s at a distance of 100 km en route.
