Abstract :
In this paper, a slot dipole antenna capacitively fed by a CPW for dual-frequency operations is proposed. By adding a pair of slot stubs into the extended CPW signal strip, the third harmonic frequency of the slot dipole can be perturbed and reduced without increasing the antenna area while the performances of the fundamental mode (first harmonic) are pertained. Moreover, the radiation patterns at those resonant frequencies are both broadside and bi-directional with acceptable cross-polarized radiation levels.
