Abstract :
A highly efficient monopulse comparator and feed network has been realized for a W-band trans-twist reflect-array that performs the dual role of focusing the beam and twisting the polarization. An split-E-plane waveguide assembly of four ring hybrids acts as a monopulse comparator network. It is precceded by a planar transition and a quad-waveguide axial transition. A multi-mode corrugated horn was designed as a feed for the reflect-array. The performance analysis, loss estimates and measured loss shows the overll antenna system has best possible efficiency. The radiation pattern performance is also found to be excellent.
