Abstract :
The Catastrophe Earthquake Risk Estimation System (CERES for Windows) is developed specially for the catastrophe earthquake risk assessment applied especially in Asia. The system is based on GIS and database with basic data of Asia used for assessment installed. It has main functions of database management, life and economic losses estimation, the synthetic risk assessment, the query of cases of catastrophe earthquakes, the disaster mapping and geological information processing. The system can be applied to catastrophe earthquake risk assessment and fast post-earthquake loss estimation etc. The design idea and main functions of the system is introduced in the paper.
