Abstract :
Simulations of active frequency selective surfaces with diodes capacitively coupling to the surface containing the slots have been presented. The simulations are in line with previously reported measurements. This technique can be applied to circular loop slots but careful design is necessary in order to avoid modifications in the dual polarization behavior of the FSS. A more detailed study of the AFSS will be presented elsewhere.
