Abstract :
A cleft based dual element Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna covering multiple wireless communication bands is designed for Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A), Global Positioning System (GPS) and IEEE 802.11af wireless applications. Fractal geometry with Minkowski island kind of curve is used at the Defected Ground-plane Structure (DGS) to improve the isolation between the antennas. The correlation coefficient value is less than 0.04 for all the frequency bands. The overall size of the MIMO antenna is 50 × 100 × 1.56 mm3.
