Abstract :
The design of microstrip Antenna with compact size is suggested for wireless communication. As the microstrip fractal antenna is a compact variation of regular microstrip antenna, so we used fractal structure in the driven radiator of the antenna. The electromagnetically coupled feed from the lower layer is used to excite the proposed antenna. The resonant frequency of the proposed antenna is lower than that of the regular microstrip antenna of same physical size. The gain of the antenna can be increased by using a parasitic element above the main radiator and fixed with the spacer of optimum height. The simulation study of various parameters of the designed antenna is done in IE3D electromagnetic EM simulator and presented in this paper.
