Abstract :
Companies are more clearly recognizing that management needs to address both the financial and technology aspects of the business. There is an increasing demand on business education that integrates both the business and the technology in a holistic way (see Khalil, T.M., (1993), Mallick, D.N., Chaudhury, A., (2000), Shabayek, A.A.E., (1999), Siegel, S., (1991), Weimer, W.A., (1991), and Zehner, W.B., II (2000)). This includes the integration of business strategy, and information systems strategy. This paper describes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in technology and innovation management (TIM) at Pacific Lutheran University School of Business (PLU) launched in 1996 (see Albers, J.A., and Dempsey, J., (1997)). The program is inherently interdisciplinary, malfunctional, and emphasizes strategic management and global competitive perspectives. This paper provides an update on programmatic changes and the delivery experience over the past six years.
